DIABETES CARE WEST AFRICA e.V. honoured an Invitation from N'ndigbe Village in DANYI, TOGO......

....There are different types of wars going on around the world. There are talks and discussions on how to stop these wars. Some of these wars are avoidable and/or preventable. Though some groups are benefitting from these wars and would not want them to stop, but some including DIABETES CARE WEST AFRICA e.v./Germany, are doing everything possible in fighting already existing "wars"... and at the same screening and educating people on how to prevent and avoid a particular type of war... "WAR AGAINST DIABETES"... THIS TIME THE FIGHT TOOK US TO A VILLAGE WHERE NOBODY DARE TO GO!

Like always, after theory comes practice. The Chief of the village is always the first to be screened....

.... and to motivate him to control his sugar level at his own time, we donated to him a Blood sugar self monitoring system....

.... then the villagers.....

We conducted a fasten screening for about 80 people and 31 were suspected to have impaired Insulin secretion. We referred them to Hospital for confirmation Test.

Somehow somebody have to remind the public that we are also soliciting for help, assistance and support  for our diabetes Program.
